About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced TIG Welders for projects located in the Hamburg, NY area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $26-32/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on aluminum components in a production environment Weld aluminum materials including sheet, plate, tubing, and extrusions Produce high-quality fillet and groove welds per specifications Control heat input and travel speed to prevent burn-through and distortion Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings Perform fit-up, tack welding, and final weld passes Prep materials through oxide removal, grinding, and cleaning Support GMAW (MIG) welding tasks as needed (TIG skillset is primary) Inspect welds for porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, and discontinuities Follow all safety and quality procedure

Requirements

  • Pass a drug screen and background check
  • Strong experience with GTAW (TIG) welding aluminum alloys
  • Familiarity with filler metals such as 4043 and 5356
  • Experience with joint preparation, beveling, and fit-up
  • Ability to maintain proper penetration and bead profile
  • Experience welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
  • Ability to read tape measure, square, and fabrication drawings
  • Understanding of distortion control techniques
  • MIG (GMAW) experience helpful, but TIG aluminum skillset is required

Responsibilities

  • Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on aluminum components in a production environment
