This is a day shift position. The hours are 5:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience
Must pass 3G vertical weld test and other weld tests including square butt, fillet, and groove joints depending on specific job requirements
Experience interpreting blueprints and bill of materials (BOM)
Basic math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication and division)
Self-starter capable of managing workload under minimal direction and supervision
Must be able to measure with accuracy using tape measures, micrometers and calipers
Overtime and weekend hours, as needed

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED
Familiar with ISO procedures
Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations

Responsibilities

Independently performs moderate to complex welding activities, including hand welding and material handling equipment
Welds metal parts on fixtures including attaching jigs and clamps to hold metal parts in proper position
Determines type and gauge of steel to be welded making appropriate heat adjustments, as required, on large thickness variations
Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels, as well as correct components installed on the finished product
Updates and maintains all required documentation associated with job responsibilities
Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment
Maintains a clean work area and general housekeeping standards, such as care for assigned tools and proper disposal of hazardous waste
Understands and practices established safety and quality standard procedures, including utilization of chemical solutions to clean containers
Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements
May be required to perform mass spec and visual inspections meeting stringent visual requirements
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
