About The Position

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Tier II Network Technician to support the intelligence community by providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video, and collaboration services. This role involves supporting the customer’s computer data communications systems, including design specifications, testing, inspections, upgrades, and network modeling. The position requires a minimum of 5 days per week in the office at the customer site in Aurora, CO, with no relocation offered. The technician will install and maintain client LAN/WAN devices, resolve incidents, troubleshoot, and meet Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs). They will also draft and implement network change requests, support Tier III engineers with incident management and projects, and perform configuration management tasks such as updating topology drawings, ensuring asset management accuracy, and conducting inventory. Coordination of network operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education (Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years).
  • Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
  • Available to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP).
  • Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, applying thin and thick configs).
  • Layer 3 network experience (subnetting, familiar with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE).
  • Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN’s, Port Security, Thin Configs).
  • Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and Foundry OS.
  • Experience with Visio.
  • Familiar with ServiceNow and Confluence.
  • COMSEC responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and communicate with the team.
  • Complete assigned tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs).
  • Draft and implement standard network change requests.
  • Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, TEMS, coordinate and install new equipment).
  • Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory.
  • Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
  • Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process.
