About The Position

This part-time staff member will maintain a culture of high-level customer service, efficient transactions, goal-driven sales, and effective communication aligning with T2’s mission and brand. Ticketing Concierges will ensure a hospitable, smooth, and high-quality continuum of service at all times and act as an information resource for patrons regarding TheatreSquared programming and events. This position reports to the Box Office Supervisor. As an engaged team member who regularly interfaces with ticket buyers, event and group sales clients, and vendors, while coordinating closely with T2’s front-of-house staff —and as a positive, collaborative member of an inclusive workforce—this new staff member will help TheatreSquared answer the question, “How can a theatre be an agent of social change—helping foster a community that is fundamentally more equitable?”

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or another equivalent certificate
  • Experience in customer service
  • Able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as being able to perform in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a dynamic team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
  • Able to successfully handle multiple priorities in sometimes high-stress situations
  • Able to work with the public and possess conflict resolution skills
  • Good problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions of management and accept feedback from management to improve performance
  • Able to learn and operate a Windows-based ticketing system (Tessitura)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Tessitura system (or comparable CRM)
  • Experience in arts or other non-profit organizations

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and comprehensive problem-solving skills
  • Work to sell TheatreSquared season offerings, single tickets, and add-ons
  • Communicate information regarding performances and organizational policies to patrons
  • Answer patron calls and emails to efficiently field requests
  • Monitor and respond to patron voicemails and emails in a timely manner
  • Complete inbound/outbound calling or mailing projects for ticket sales campaigns
  • Resolve patron ticketing issues while maintaining a positive and friendly interaction
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TheatreSquared performances and events, as well as organizational policies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patron information in ticketing system (Tessitura)
  • Transact tickets and related purchases with the highest accuracy
  • Manage cash and make appropriate and accurate change
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
