Internship: Ticket Sales (Part-Time/Seasonal)

The Ticket Sales Intern will collaborate with the Ticket Sales, Group Sales, and Membership Services teams to execute sales strategies for the Washington Mystics and meet ticket sales and revenue targets. This paid internship will provide foundational experience in the sales process, focusing on sports enthusiasm and practical sales skills.

Requirements

Current undergraduate or graduate student.
Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, a passion for the sports industry, and an interest in sales.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Competitive nature and a positive attitude.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Familiarity with social media tools.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide outstanding customer service to our clients.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Reliable transportation and housing.

Responsibilities

Research, expand, and manage the group sales database with focus on strategic categories for event planning purposes.
Make introductory phone calls to sales prospects.
Prepare various marketing items related to group initiatives and programs.
Build relationships to provide repeat business and excellent customer service.
Other duties as assigned.
