About The Position

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of ticket operations at Chicago Fire FC. As the club transitions to SeatGeek Unify and prepares to open McDonald's Park in Summer 2028, the Ticket Operations Manager will serve as the Senior Director of Ticket Operations' right hand in executing one of the most significant ticketing transformations in professional sports. This role will serve as the club's primary SeatGeek Unify specialist, leading event builds, inventory management, reporting, ticketing integrations, and system optimization while supporting Ticketmaster Archtics during the club's remaining events at Soldier Field and SeatGeek Stadium. Along the way, you'll gain broad experience across the industry's two leading ticketing platforms, helping build a well-rounded ticket operations skill set that will serve you throughout your career. Working cross-functionally with Ticket Sales, Service, Marketing, Finance, Stadium Operations, and Box Office teams, this individual will help deliver a seamless ticketing experience for fans while developing scalable operational processes that support the club's next era. The role will also oversee matchday ticket operations, including the management of box office staff and temporary event personnel, ensuring exceptional execution and customer service across every event.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 4+ years of professional ticket operations experience, with demonstrated expertise in SeatGeek Unify strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Experience with high level, time sensitive reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships across multiple departments and external partners.
  • Must have the ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills, specifically working with sales teams, promoters and box office staff.
  • Experience working with promotors and special events.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Senior Director of Ticket Operations and Revenue teams to support the phased sales campaign for McDonald's Park, optimizing inventory strategy, pricing configurations, and system readiness to deliver a best-in-class purchasing experience for fans and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Build and develop a strong working relationship with SeatGeek Client Support Staff as Chicago Fire FC makes the transition to SeatGeek Unify at McDonald’s Park.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Ticketmaster Client Support staff regarding software management, troubleshooting system issues, event creation, event marketing and financial reporting as Chicago Fire FC continues to play at Soldier Field and SeatGeek Stadium.
  • Build and maintain a positive working relationship with all promoters for special events at McDonald’s Park.
  • Develop, automate and maintain operational, financial and business intelligence reports that support Ticket Sales, Service, Finance, Stadium Operations and MLS reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate a complex network of payment plans, investigate and respond to any chargebacks related to ticket payments and work closely with the Ticket Services department to ensure account compliance.
  • Assist with the building of price codes, plans, promo codes, and other programming needs in SeatGeek Unify and Ticketmaster Archtics.
  • Assist in the set-up, trouble shooting and maintaining of events in SeatGeek Unify and Ticketmaster Archtics.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all 3rd party ticket relationships, including but not limited to Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, various parking operators, Fevo, Vet Tix and more.
  • Oversee the implementation of new 3rd party ticketing integrations and maximizing the potential of all new sales campaigns.
  • Serve as a resource for all departments as it relates to SeatGeek and Ticketmaster products.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows through automation, system enhancements and cross-functional process improvements.
  • Help maintain a culture that’s focused on a high standard of speed, efficiency and customer service.
  • Maintain a positive, high-performance culture in the Ticket Operations department, while building a positive rapport with all other departments on a daily basis.
  • Act as a higher point of contact for all elevated customer service occurrences on match day.
  • Schedule and coordinate all event day box office staff with the local ticketing union.
  • Completion of other duties as assigned with a team-player mindset.
