About The Position

Motion Composites is a growing company that designs and manufactures ultralight carbon fiber wheelchairs, distributing to over 30 countries. Under the supervision of the Vice-President of Finance & IT, this position acts as a coordinator and project manager for change management related to manufactured products, parts, master data, and associated systems. The primary role is to coordinate changes in products, parts, and data across various departments, ensuring clear planning, rigorous action tracking, effective prioritization of requests, and structured reporting to stakeholders and management. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, production, purchasing, methods, IT, finance, and customer service teams to ensure changes are well understood, planned, validated, and implemented consistently throughout the organization. The position integrates cross-functional coordination, project management, change management, and process monitoring, requiring an understanding of product data, BOMs, ERP/MRP systems, and manufacturing impacts to establish effective links between teams.

Requirements

  • DEC or Bachelor's degree in Operations Administration, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing Management, Administration, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a coordination, project management, change management, manufacturing management, process improvement, or cross-functional coordination role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly desired.
  • Experience with product, part, process, master data, or ERP/MRP system changes is a significant asset.
  • General knowledge of BOMs, items, product configurations, and their impacts on systems and operations.
  • Experience in preparing project plans, tracking actions, managing schedules, prioritizing, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple product, part, data, or process changes in parallel, tracking priorities, deadlines, responsible parties, and deliverables.
  • Develop simple and effective project plans for changes affecting product data, systems, processes, or product launches.
  • Organize, facilitate, and document follow-up meetings with relevant teams.
  • Track actions, decisions, deadlines, issues, and risks with various stakeholders.
  • Produce prioritization matrices, progress reports, and clear accountability reports for collaborators, managers, and management.
  • Receive, understand, and coordinate change requests affecting products, parts, configurations, or associated data.
  • Work with relevant teams to assess the impact of changes on operations, inventory, costs, timelines, systems, customers, and market launch.
  • Coordinate required validations with impacted teams.
  • Ensure changes are communicated to the right teams at the right time and that impacts are well understood.
  • Facilitate alignment between departments so that new versions, parts, or configurations adequately replace old ones.
  • Participate in tracking the lifecycle of parts to reduce waste, limit customer impact, and support operational continuity.
  • Understand the links between product data, BOMs, items, configurations, ERP/MRP systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate necessary validations related to product data and BOMs with responsible teams, without being responsible for authorizing BOMs themselves.
  • Ensure approved changes are accurately reflected in systems and that necessary information is available to relevant teams.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve data transfer, validation, and maintenance processes.
  • Identify process issues, friction points, and improvement opportunities to propose simple, concrete solutions adapted to operational reality.
