About The Position

Perform throughput analysis and simulation of new vehicle programs throughout all phases of the Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP). Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering (ME) centers in the design and optimization of current and future manufacturing systems and will support plants in throughput improvement initiatives. Implement simulation deliverables for assigned new and major Vehicle programs. Optimally run experiments and analysis, interpret results, and generate standard reports. Respond to throughput simulation pulls from assigned manufacturing facilities. Extract necessary inputs from Manufacturing Planning documents and calculate Stand Alone Throughput (SAT) targets and overspeed. Occasional domestic travel (~5%). Hybrid Work Policy – 3 days In-Office, 2 Days Remote – Must be able to report to local office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems and Technology, or related field of study
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Simulation Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related role.
  • Three (3) years of experience with GMS principles and concepts that can be applied to throughput requirements.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP).
  • Three (3) years of experience with Throughput Improvement Process (TIP), methods and tools.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Vehicle or GPS manufacturing facilities.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Discrete event simulation software.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Siemens Plant Sim Simulation Software.
