About The Position

This role involves conducting discrete event simulations of vehicle production systems to assess and improve throughput. The engineer will use specialized software to model production processes, interpret data to propose solutions for efficiency improvements, and collaborate with various engineering teams. A key aspect of the role is design optimization to ensure manufacturing systems are efficient and scalable. The position also requires comparing simulation models with plant layouts, identifying critical elements for manufacturing processes, and providing detailed reports to leadership. Support will be provided to vehicle manufacturing plants to identify and resolve production bottlenecks. The role includes supervising a team of Material Flow Simulation Engineers, managing project progress, and ensuring deadlines are met. Additionally, the engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert, mentor team members, and oversee the migration of legacy simulation models. A significant focus is on driving the Digital Twin vision for integrated simulation of processes and material flow.
