The Thrift Store Assistant Manager supports the Thrift Store Manager with the planning, administering, monitoring, and evaluation of the day-to-day operations of the Thrift Store with a limited staff ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. This role serves as the lead manager when the Thrift Store Manager is not on property. Responsibilities include processing, displaying, and approving the pricing of donated items to ensure a reasonable financial return on the sale of store items. The Assistant Manager will assist customers in a polite and friendly manner, prepare attractive and orderly store displays, ensure merchandise is rotated and re-stocked, and maintain accountability and security of all store items and funds. Additionally, this role is responsible for the proper training of all Thrift Store employees and serves as a lead worker to volunteers and subordinate personnel.
