Requirements

  • Ability to read from paper instructions.
  • Ability to adapt to change and flex his/her work at appropriate times so as to support production needs.
  • Ability to safely and effectively choose and operate hand tools (manual, pneumatic and electrical).
  • Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards.
  • Ability to plan work and select correct chasers.
  • Ability to compare and accurately determine difference in size, shape, and form of objects.
  • Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to follow and understand directions.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds; 50+ pounds with assistance.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, working at heights, and using a ladder as required.
  • Ability of use both hands overhead.
  • Perform repetitive motions.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in operating a threader is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Find work orders and ensure to use correct material and set-up to produce a quality part.
  • Pull correct part off cart by using work order identification.
  • Identify correct chasers.
  • Reading drawings for proper fabrication of parts.
  • Cut threads to correct length and depth.
  • Identify parts and place on skid to be delivered to proper location.
  • Use hand tools and read a tape measure.
