About The Position

API Heat Transfer is looking for individuals who are motivated by transformation and want to be part of a new API. The company is undergoing a Lean Cultural Change with new leadership and is seeking a Machine Operator for the Thread & Cut position on the 2nd Shift. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and contributing to a revitalized company focused on Lean Management.

Requirements

GED or High School diploma
Ability to read and work off of blueprints
Good verbal and written communication skills
1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to use and read measuring equipment (e.g., tape measure)
Basic Computer Skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to work well with others

Responsibilities

Set up and operate threading and cutting machines for manufacturing stock and contract parts.
Cut and thread tie rods, cut tubes and pipe, cut/shear various bars and angles, and punch holes in angles, cradles, cradle bars, and type 500 shell pipe according to contract requirements.
Operate the tube bend machine.
Run the (2) Burr Oak tube cutters in automatic mode while operating the tube bender.
Ensure machines remain operational while the tube bender is in use.
Maintain current physical inventory data for spacing tubing, tie rod stock, and various angles and bar stock for the Material Control Department.
