We’re currently hiring a 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice to join the Maintenance team at our Plant 3 manufacturing facility, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This hands-on role supports the day-to-day operation of a fast-paced production environment where manufacturing equipment, utilities, and building systems all need to perform reliably and safely. You’ll work alongside an experienced maintenance team, troubleshooting issues on the floor, completing preventative maintenance, supporting equipment repairs and modifications, and helping keep production moving. Requirements

  • Diploma and/or certification as a 3rd year electrical apprentice
  • Courses related to maintenance troubleshooting and repair
  • Mechanical aptitude, knowledge to repair & replace motors, gearboxes, bearings
  • Aptitude in pneumatics, knowledge to repair & replace manifolds, valve packs, cylinders, airline repairs
  • Aptitude in hydraulics, knowledge to repair & replace manifolds, valve packs, cylinders, hose repairs
  • Proven problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and new technologies
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to maintenance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Manufacturing an asset
  • Experience with low and high voltages, PLC’s, drives, controls an asset

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Preventative Maintenance Program by prioritizing work orders, completing PMs on time and documenting all details, with special focus on our Vertical TPS Sealed Units line, and, in collaboration with the A-Shift and B-Shift Maintenance teams
  • Supporting the Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Program to reduce down time on equipment, with special focus on our Vertical TPS Sealed Units line
  • Work in collaboration with the Autonomous Maintenance specialist to develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), OPLs (One Point Lessons) and training materials for the Maintenance team, to increase equipment reliability, with special focus on our Vertical TPS line
  • Support on RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) of equipment downtime events and chronic issues, to find corrective and preventive actions and improve equipment reliability, with special focus on our Vertical TPS line
  • Perform safety evaluations before starting any tasks.
  • Coordinating equipment work with Production Supervisors to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Communicating issues and potential solutions, escalating to leadership for decision-making when needed.
  • Collaborating with project teams and Production Supervisors on projects related to production equipment, with special focus on our Vertical TPS line
  • Working independently with minimal supervision and overseeing tasks.
  • Confidently and professionally handle electrical and mechanical systems as required.
  • Troubleshooting Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatic systems following required procedures and policies.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of production equipment across all production lines.
  • Providing feedback and suggestions for enhancing production equipment performance.
  • Maintaining the highest standard of housekeeping in the workplace and parts warehouse.
  • Participating in inventory counts within the parts warehouse.
