About The Position

HES is a national facilities management provider focused exclusively on educational institutions. The Third Shift Cleaner is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas and performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep of the facility. The schedule is 10 p.m.–5 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 p.m.–9 p.m. Friday. This is a full-time, third-shift position.

• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
• Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within established production and service time frames.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree preferred, but not required.
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of all assigned areas.
• Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum.
• Extract carpet and strip and wax floors.
• Remove trash and recycling.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
• Polish outside areas within 10 feet of entryways.
• Wash windows and clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
• Remove snow and ice.
• Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or designated representative.
