About The Position

HES is a facilities management provider focused on educational institutions. The Floor Tech performs carpet cleaning, including bonnet cleaning and extraction, and cleans and finishes hard-surface floors by scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing. The role operates and maintains floor-cleaning and finishing equipment while following established safety precautions. This is a full-time, third-shift position with a schedule of 9:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 4:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. Friday. The position has four openings.

Requirements

Experience with carpet cleaning and VCT flooring.
Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
Excellent work history.
Team-focused approach and ability to work with others and take direction.
Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Clean carpets using bonnet and extraction methods.
Scrub, strip, seal, wax, and spray buff hard-surface floors.
Operate and maintain floor-cleaning and finishing equipment, including floor buffers and burnishers, water extraction machines, and carpet-cleaning equipment.
Operate high- and low-speed buffers up to 24 inches and 3,000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.
Follow established safety precautions when cleaning and maintaining facility areas.
