About The Position

This position supports Colonial Life’s enrollment technology strategies through effective implementation, support, and service at both the system and case level. A Third Party Enrollment Tech Consultant is expected to partner with other business areas and customers, for effective case implementation, case management, and issue resolution. This position requires an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Colonial Life’s enrollment technology, strategy, and supporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years’ experience in project management, enrollment systems, IT, or other related work experience required.
  • Experience leading projects or initiatives with demonstrated strength in planning, organizing, and time management.
  • Strong collaboration, partnering skills, team building skills, customer service, and relationship building skills with internal/external business partners regarding third party enrollment technology capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with various Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint highly preferred; Projects and Visio a plus.
  • Solid planning, organizing and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to track and manage large volumes of work and concurrent issues with timely escalation and detailed documentation to support recommended actions.
  • Subject matter expertise across various third party enrollment technology platforms, products, services, processes, sales process, and field organization specific to Colonial Life.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of basic design, code and testing following IT standards preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge of data manipulation and relational databases through use of relevant tools and applications is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively while adding to the dynamics of a team environment.
  • Proven track record of accountability for delivering quality results based on organizational and departmental quality measures.
  • Demonstrate desire to expand technical knowledge and learn new tools.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as an enrollment technology resource and point of contact for internal/external business partners during enrollment implementations for consulting and/or third party enrollment technical needs.
  • Manages multiple case level enrollment technologies that are high profile, high risk and present a high degree of complexity for Colonial Life.
  • Consults and provides technical support on the execution of enrollment technology strategies to meet account/enrollment technology partner needs and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency in preventing, identifying, and correcting case level third party enrollment technology escalations in partnership with IT to drive resolution as needed.
  • Responsible for updating departmental tracking/reporting systems.
  • Proactively anticipates the needs of third party enrollment technology vendors.
  • Develop methods for effective data exchange for large complex enrollment files.
  • Represent the team on cross functional team projects/initiatives as subject matter expert for third party enrollment technology strategies, system enhancements, testing support, and general problem solving to improve the customer experience and team effectiveness.
  • Meets or exceeds departmental and organizational goals and metrics.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
