About The Position

The Thermoforming Assistant supports daily production at Amcor’s Fremont, Ohio facility, working alongside experienced machine operators to help create high-quality packaging. The role provides hands-on experience with production equipment and processes, with opportunities to develop skills for continued growth in machine operation. The position follows a 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule on either day shift (6:55 a.m.–7:10 p.m.) or night shift (6:55 p.m.–7:10 a.m.). Pay is $21.01–$25.42 per hour, with an additional $0.50 per hour for night shift.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow work instructions and production schedules.
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Reliable attendance and ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.

Manufacturing or production experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist machine operators with equipment setup, operation, and monitoring.
Load raw materials and help keep production running smoothly.
Inspect finished products for quality.
Support machine changeovers, roll splices, and minor adjustments.
Complete production documentation and report equipment or quality issues.
Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
Follow safety, GMP, food-safety, and operating procedures.
Develop hands-on skills that support continued growth in machine operation.
