About The Position

Therapy Technicians are an integral part of the patient care team, helping therapists deliver exceptional care while ensuring the clinic remains organized, efficient, and welcoming. You'll work closely with experienced occupational therapists and healthcare providers, gaining exposure to patient care, rehabilitation techniques, wound management, splinting, and the day-to-day operations of a successful therapy practice.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Previous healthcare experience is helpful but not required.
  • A genuine interest in rehabilitation, therapy, or healthcare careers is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the schedule and escort patients to and from treatment areas in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the therapy clinic.
  • Clean treatment tables, therapy tools, and equipment between patient visits.
  • Maintain therapy equipment, including hydrocolators, splint pans, paraffin units, fluidotherapy machines, and wound care supplies.
  • Empty and replace trash and biohazard containers as needed.
  • Anticipate therapist needs and actively support patient care throughout the day.
  • Stock and organize clinic supplies to ensure materials are readily available.
  • Assist therapists with modalities including paraffin, hot packs, and fluidotherapy.
  • Perform basic wound care tasks under therapist supervision, including dressing removal, wound cleansing, suture removal, and dressing application.
  • Assist with splinting preparation and organization of materials.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, patients, and administrative staff.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient communication.
  • Support scheduling, scanning, filing, and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems, including NextGen EMR, to support clinic operations and patient care.
