Job Summary: The Therapy Clinical Specialist position is responsible for providing clinical support to all therapy providers in the campus. Works in close collaboration with the Therapy Program Office Manager from each clinic.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in therapy Field - PT/OT or commensurable clinical experience
  • Minimum of master’s degree in therapy Field – ST or commensurable clinical experience
  • Licensed as an OT/PT/SLP in the State of Florida.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 1-2 years supervisory experience in therapy field – PT/OT/ST (i.e., interns, clinicians)

Responsibilities

  • Interviews and selects new campus medical therapy providers along with the Therapy Practice Office Manager (TPOM) and/or the Regional Practice Manager (RPM).
  • Provides initial on-site orientation to new campus medical therapy providers with TPOM including electronic documentation training.
  • Monitors all medical therapy providers meet all service delivery guidelines according to UCP of Central Florida and other therapy regulatory bodies by completing the medical therapy providers’ outcome form quarterly: For contractors – Quarterly Checklist Rendering Provider Outcomes. For employees: Quarterly Reviews for Therapy Employees
  • Meets productivity according to annual goal.
  • Collects and monitors medical therapy providers’ bi-annual accountability reports.
  • Ensures all medical therapy providers optimize their time and resources.
  • Conducts monthly therapy department meetings with Therapy Practice Office Manager.
  • Coordinates clinical in-services opportunities; minimum of two per fiscal year.
  • Provides clinical support to medical therapy providers.
  • Assists TPOM and/or RPM with medical therapy provider employees’ performance evaluation clinical portion.
  • Provides co-signing support as needed.
  • Ensures monthly parent notes for medical therapy clients are generated and collected according to the agency guidelines.
  • Ensures Early Steps (ES) guidelines re: service delivery model and documentation are followed with all ES clients.
  • Attends TCS meetings with SDT and DOT.
  • Maintains yearly inventory list; assists TPOM in ordering therapy equipment/supplies, consumables, and protocols.
  • Coordinates with TPOM re: clients’ clinical assignments and families’ clinical inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned.
