About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Plano, TX is seeking a full-time Therapy Technician for their Outpatient facility. The role involves joining a large multi-disciplinary team of PTs, OTs, SLPs, Patient Service Specialists, and Therapy Aides. The ideal candidate is an excellent team player, proactive in accomplishing tasks, detail-oriented, organized, and possesses excellent communication skills. The position's secondary job duties include working with patients under a therapist's direction to help provide comprehensive rehabilitation.
Requirements
- BLS Certification or completion within 90 days of hire
- Must have a valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of hospital experience as therapy aide preferred
Responsibilities
- Assistance to clinicians for direct patient care (transferring, toileting)
- Infection control cleaning
- Light equipment maintenance
- Driving routes to transport patients to and from clinic
- Assistance to front desk for light clerical tasks
- Setting up patients on therapeutic activities
- Facilitating exercise groups
- Other duties as assigned
