About The Position

Roxbury Treatment Center is hiring a therapist to work every Thursday and Friday with patients on its acute psychiatric units. The position offers the opportunity to work with adults and adolescents. Roxbury Treatment Center is a 112-bed behavioral health facility in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, providing acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults, as well as inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents ages 13–17. The facility's mission emphasizes high-quality behavioral health services, service excellence, respect, ethical standards, integrity, compassion, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, or a related Social Services field.
• Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an inpatient setting.
• Professional licensure or certification.
• Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership, age-specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, and family therapy theory and practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work services on a designated unit consistent with Roxbury Treatment Center's philosophy and objectives.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Develop psychoeducation groups.
• Attend treatment team meetings to ensure treatment plans align with patients' assessed needs.
• Participate in managing patient commitment status, discharge planning, case management, and crisis intervention.
• Provide liaison services with referral sources and other hospital departments.
• Complete timely chart documentation and progress notes.
• Assist with crisis management, including patient assessment and care-plan revisions as needed.
