The Therapist leads collaboration among an interdisciplinary team to develop, coordinate, and facilitate direct social services interventions for patients on their caseload and their support systems. The role uses empirically supported approaches—including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and family therapy—to support stabilization and recovery for people with mental and behavioral health concerns. Therapists foster a safe, supportive environment in which patients can understand the connections among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and work toward their goals. The position is in an acute care setting that may include inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and/or intensive outpatient services. It is PRN, providing coverage as needed when the clinic is open Monday through Friday, with no set hours or consistent days. The therapist may take on other duties assigned by a manager or clinical operations supervisor to support patient care and system initiatives.
