About The Position

Alexander Youth Network is seeking a Multi-Systemic Therapist to provide comprehensive services to adolescents and their families. The role includes assessing adolescents in the context of their family, school, and community. The therapist helps parents build supportive social networks and address adolescents’ needs more effectively, teaches adolescents new coping skills, and promotes long-term changes that families can sustain after the program ends. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Service.
Two years of experience.
QMHP required.
Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Strong understanding of family systems and social ecology theories.
Understanding of MST philosophy and practices.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with antisocial behaviors in adolescents.
Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

Complete functional assessments of adolescents in the context of their families, schools, and communities.
Help parents build supportive social networks.
Empower parents to address adolescents’ needs more effectively.
Teach adolescents new coping skills.
Emphasize long-term changes that families can maintain after program completion.
