About The Position

Provide quality, person-centered, treatment that facilitates recovery and wellness with people experiencing substance use and/or mental health concerns. Therapist will conduct screenings and assessments using evidence-based tools and provide individual and group therapy to help people reach their identified goals for improved well-being. Services are provided in the community and within the jail. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in social work or related field
  • Possess MCBAP CAADC or willing / ability to obtain
  • State License (LMSW / LLMSW / LPC, etc.) required
  • Experience working with adults with SUD concerns
  • Valid driver's License, Auto Insurance, and a clean driving record
  • Masters Degree in social work or related field

  • Bilingual / Spanish preferred
  • Valid Drivers License, Auto Insurance and Clean driving record
  • Prior experience working with children and families

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing community based services a plus!
  • Experience and knowledge of Kent County resources is a plus!
  • Knowledge of school systems / supports in Kent County preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screenings and assessments using evidence-based tools.
  • Provide individual and group therapy to help people reach their identified goals for improved well-being.
  • Provide quality mental health treatment as part of an inter-disciplinary team that facilitate healthy development of children/youth and increased family stability.
  • Services are family-centered, delivered primarily in an identified school within Grand Rapids area and in home/community to support the work.
  • Position includes assessment, individual and family therapy, and crisis response.
  • Positive outcomes are achieved through purposeful and respectful relationships rooted in trauma informed care, hope and evidence-based research.
