Therapist, Respiratory Certified Per Diem

About The Position
Methodist Hospital Respiratory Therapists collaborate with the patient care team to develop, modify, and implement respiratory care plans. The staff respiratory therapist/technician provides pulmonary care to assigned patients, including initiating and implementing a pulmonary care plan under physician supervision or in consultation with a physician. Care includes assessments, diagnostics, treatment, education, and discharge planning. This is an on-call/casual night-shift position. Experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Minnesota Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) registration required.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required.
- Must obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within two years of hire.
- Must hold BLS provider certification.
- Must be willing to obtain ACLS as scheduling permits within two years of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Respiratory therapy experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide pulmonary care to assigned patients.

- Provide respiratory treatments and patient education.
- Participate in discharge planning.
