Respiratory Therapist- Certified Per Diem

About The Position
Methodist Hospital Respiratory Therapists are collaborative professionals who partner with the patient care team to develop, modify, and implement respiratory care plans. The staff respiratory therapist or technician is responsible for pulmonary care for assigned patients, including initiating and implementing a pulmonary care plan under a physician’s supervision or in consultation with a physician. Care includes assessments, diagnostics, treatment, education, and discharge planning. The schedule is on-call/casual, with night shifts required.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Minnesota Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) registration is required.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential is required.
- Obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within two years of hire.
- Hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification.
- Be willing to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification as scheduling permits within two years of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience is preferred but not necessary.
