About The Position

Psynergy Programs is seeking therapists (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) to provide supervised outpatient-level clinical services. These services include assessments, individual, family, and group therapy (including equine therapy), case management, crisis intervention, and linkage to resources. The clients served are individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness (such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, PTSD) living in an enriched adult residential care facility. Psynergy Programs is a leading provider of residential treatment for chronic mental illness in California, partnering with 26 counties and Behavioral Health Departments to offer rehabilitation and specialty mental health services in an enriched residential environment that fosters thriving communities of care. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to the highest standards of care in both residential and clinical treatment.

Requirements

  • Registered with the BBS (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) - required
  • A commitment to providing the highest levels of service - required.
  • A great attitude - required.

Nice To Haves

  • LCSW - preferred.
  • Experience working in behavioral health or in residential care - preferred.
  • Special certifications, skills, trainings, degrees (e.g., CNA, NVCI, First Aid, CPR, Narcan, SUDS, CADC, ARF/RCFE, CBT, DBT, CBT for Psychosis, Motivational Interviewing).

Responsibilities

  • Working in collaboration with 26 counties in CA providing specialty mental health services as part of California’s behavioral health system of care.
  • Utilizing best practice standards including having a “whatever it takes” attitude and focus.
  • Providing strengths-based services to a diverse population residing in one enriched residential community.
  • Conducting assessments upon admission and as needed.
  • Developing effective treatment and behavioral plans to achieve personal goals including reducing unnecessary hospitalizations.
  • Performing regular risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Providing weekly and as-needed therapy to each client and families as needed.
  • Providing weekly clinical groups including equine.
  • Providing linkage and case management.
  • Providing clinical support and modeling to a professional and paraprofessional staff.
  • Helping maintain a therapeutic and welcoming outpatient clinic environment.
  • Providing shared on-call support to the residential facility staff and clients.
