As a full-time Licensed Therapist II within the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board's Clinical Adult Outpatient Program, you will join ACOS, a leader in providing comprehensive Outpatient Mental Health Services. Our professional team comprises licensed therapists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, board-certified psychiatrists, gerontologists, and peer support specialists, all dedicated to supporting individuals through the complexities of mental health challenges and everyday stressors.

Requirements

LPC, LCSW, or LMFT licensed professional.
Two (2) years of clinical experience, including therapeutic counseling crisis intervention and case management functions.
Must be eligible or approved for MCO credentialing.
Must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of managed care clients dealing with mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Conduct assessment evaluations for incoming clients.
Deliver ongoing therapy.
Engage in decision-making and apply complex theoretical approaches to individual, group, and family therapy sessions, ensuring sensitivity to diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and cultural values throughout the therapeutic process.
