About The Position

This position will be located at The Haven in Dothan, Alabama. The role involves facilitating various forms of therapy, documenting clinical records, coordinating with community agencies, and responding to crisis situations.

Requirements

BS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field required or MS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field with completion of a relevant clinical practicum
Must have a good motor vehicle record and be willing to submit to MVR check
If in recovery, must have at least (3) years of verifiable sobriety

Nice To Haves

Prefer substance abuse certification from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium.
If not previous certified or licensed as an LPC, LICSW or LMFT, must be willing to obtain certification within (2) years of hire

Responsibilities

Facilitating individual, couple, family and group therapy to clients employing various therapeutic techniques
Documenting and updating clinical records using an electronic health record system
Coordinate with community agencies and programs for services as needed such as sober living homes, DHR, AA, various other civic and religious groups
Responds to crisis situations as needed
