About The Position

Brightpoint is seeking a mission-driven Therapist to join their team, focusing on advancing the well-being of children by investing in families and strengthening communities. This role provides clinical services to school-aged children and their families within the School-Based Behavioral Health program at the Family CARES Center in Chicago, IL. Services include individual and group therapy in a school-based setting, and family therapy in an agency office. The position emphasizes opportunities for professional growth, including support for clinical licensure and advanced training, and a strong focus on work/life balance with flexible scheduling and manageable caseloads.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology or a closely related field, required.
Eligible for clinical licensure in the state of Illinois (LCSW, LCPC or LMFT) and will obtain, and maintain, clinical Illinois license within 36 months of employment.
Obtains and maintains any applicable certifications based on program model and/or required by program funder, which may include Domestic Violence training, Trauma-Based Relational Intervention, Play Therapy, or other modalities within one year of employment.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with an evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other trauma-informed practice preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical services to school-aged children and their families.
Conduct individual therapy and group services in a school-based setting.
Provide family therapy in an agency office.
Coordinate services with other relevant providers.
Develop appropriate referral plans.
Complete thorough and timely documentation, including assessment and service notes, using a web-based client services platform.
