About The Position

Brightpoint is seeking a mission-driven Therapist to join their team, contributing to a vision of an equitable world where all children and families thrive. With a 140-year history in human services, Brightpoint focuses on advancing child well-being through data-informed, collaborative, and preventative solutions for families and communities. This role involves providing clinical services to school-aged children and their families within the School-Based Behavioral Health program at the Family CARES Center in Chicago, IL. Services include individual and group therapy in a school-based setting, and family therapy in an agency office. The position emphasizes opportunities for professional growth, work-life balance, and collaboration with community partners.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or another related clinical field required.
• Current clinical licensure in the state of Illinois (LCSW, LCPC or LMFT).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.

Nice To Haves

• Obtains and maintains any applicable certifications based on program model and/or required by program funder, which may include Domestic Violence training, Trauma-Based Relational Intervention, Play Therapy, or other modalities within one year of employment.
• Demonstrates competence in individual treatment planning and integrating diagnostic results of assessment tools.
• Experience with an evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to school-aged children and their families.
• Conduct individual therapy and group services in a school-based setting.
• Provide family therapy in an agency office.
• Coordinate services with other relevant providers.
• Develop appropriate referral plans.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation, including assessment and service notes, using a web-based client services platform.
