Therapist - Child & Family Outpatient
About The Position
Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. Therapists at Comprehensive utilize evidence-based practices to provide clients and their families with support in learning new skills and connecting to community resources. Counseling and skill development may be provided through individual or group sessions, depending on need. Therapist positions require excellent listening and communication skills, as well as a desire to collaborate to assist each client with reaching his or her recovery goals. Clinical supervision and training in evidence-based practices are provided as part of this position. This position is part of our youth outpatient team in Yakima, which serves clients up to age 18, including young children and adolescents. The Therapist works with clients exclusively at our outpatient clinic, with a regular Monday-Friday 8am-5pm work schedule and no weekends or after-hours work required.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field that leads to eligibility for independent clinical licensure as a LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT
- Prior experience working with youth and adolescents in a professional setting preferred
- Must be eligible for registration as Agency Affiliated Counselor
- In compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
- providing individual and family therapy
- facilitating behavioral health groups
- completing mental health intakes and assessments
- collaborating with each client and their family to create an individualized treatment plan
- assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated
- assisting with case management as needed
- thorough and timely completion of required clinical documentation
