About The Position

Carolina Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Child & Family Outpatient Therapist to join their South Asheville clinic. This role is for a licensed professional (LCSW, LCMHC, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT) passionate about helping children, adolescents, and families. The clinic emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and child- and family-centered care, offering integrated care for children from birth through age 21. Full-time therapists receive dedicated time for planning and documentation, professional development, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration with various pediatric professionals. The role focuses on sustainable productivity through customizable templates and AI-assisted tools, with reasonable expectations. Therapists will provide individual and family therapy, coordinate care with parents, schools, and support teams, and may work across different settings including clinic, schools, community, and telehealth. There are opportunities for career growth, clinical expertise development, leadership, and shaping the pediatric mental health program. Each clinician is assigned a Home Clinic for a consistent professional base and a place to connect with their team, featuring designated space for materials and professional resources.

Requirements

Currently licensed in North Carolina as an LCSW, LCMHC, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT

Responsibilities

Provide evaluation, assessment, and evidence-based mental health treatment to children, adolescents, and families with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, developmental, and family-system needs.
Support children and families experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, behavioral and developmental concerns, life transitions, trauma, social and interpersonal challenges, family and parent-child relationships, school-related concerns, self-esteem, coping skills, resilience, and neurodevelopmental differences.
Develop individualized treatment plans and provide engaging, developmentally appropriate interventions.
Help children build skills, strengthen relationships, and participate more fully in family, school, and community life.
Work closely with parents and caregivers to help families understand their child’s needs and develop practical strategies.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to share ideas, coordinate care, solve problems, and support one another.
