New Horizon Community Care (NHCC) is seeking a dedicated Team Lead (BHT) for their Phoenix Therapeutic Recreation program. This role involves serving as a positive role model to support, lead, and encourage youth and young adults, as well as a team of BHTs. The position offers the opportunity to form lasting relationships, encourage positive behavior, and design activities to promote the overall welfare of participants, while increasing knowledge of social work, behavioral studies, and management skills. NHCC believes that personal relationships are key to changing behavior and trusts its passionate team of BHTs. NHCC hires BHTs and Para Professionals to support youth and adults through structured, therapeutic programs. Diversity and inclusion are foundational principles at NHCC, and they are committed to providing accessible, equitable, and culturally competent mental health care to individuals of all backgrounds. The Therapeutic Recreation program uses movement, recreation, art, and CBT-based activities to build resilience and confidence. Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) play a critical role in this program, supporting youth and young adults navigating at-risk behaviors in an after-school setting. BHTs provide mentorship, guidance, and care through trauma-informed approaches and cognitive behavior therapy, utilizing sports and activities as therapeutic tools. The role involves working closely with the clinical team to implement individualized treatment plans and ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
