About The Position

Sheppard Pratt School, located within Severn River Middle School in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, offers a 10-month special education program for students in grades six through eight (ages 11-15) with autism spectrum disorder, emotional disabilities, and related disorders. Requirements

Responsibilities

Supporting the teacher as a paraprofessional educator and/or working with assigned student as a 1:1 dedicated aide.
Supporting Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives by documenting student progress and providing additional instruction and structure.
Providing educational and adaptive behavior support.
Providing behavior intervention and treatment.
Opportunities for leading classroom activities.
