Requirements

Six months as an Aide Trainee; or One year of experience working with persons with mental or physical disabilities; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
You must meet the PA residency requirement.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
You must pass a background investigation.
Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

Teach and model daily living skills such as hygiene, nutrition, safety practices, and problem solving
Assist individuals with cooking, shopping, laundry, housekeeping, and personal hygiene tasks
Arrange and coordinate medical appointments when needed
Check the house, grounds, and equipment to ensure upkeep, maintenance, and fire safety
Accompany individuals to activities, appointments, shopping trips, and community programs
Report on progress, maintain files, complete documentation, and follow CRRS regulations
