Requirements

Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities
An equivalent combination of experience and training
Meet the PA residency requirement
Be able to perform essential job functions
Submit and approve satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance (conditional offer of employment)
Pass a medical examination and drug screening (conditional offer of employment)

Responsibilities

Conduct planned therapeutic sessions and provide guidance to participants to support treatment goals
Observe participant engagement, document group and individual notes in the charting system, and share updates with staff
Offer one-to-one encouragement and assistance to individuals who need additional help to engage in programming
Escort participants to activity locations, monitor safety, and provide instruction on proper use of supplies and equipment
Maintain activity materials, request needed repairs or supplies, and ensure spaces remain free of hazards
Attend program planning meetings, contribute information on participant needs, and apply training to meet therapeutic objectives
