About The Position

As a Therapeutic Activities Aide with the Department of Human Services, you will help clients take part in activities that strengthen skills and build confidence. Requirements

Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Meet the PA residency requirement.
Be able to perform essential job functions.
Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance (required after conditional offer of employment).

Responsibilities

Implement physical, vocational, social, and self-help activities for clients individually and in groups
Maintain materials in proper working order and submit repair requests when needed
Provide information and techniques to support aides and other staff working with clients
Escort clients on and off campus for activities and appointments
Promote good health, safe conditions, report hazards, and participate in housekeeping tasks at the work site
