About The Position

Theology Teacher – Catholic Central High School – Grand Rapids, MI Start Date: 2026–2027 School Year Help lead our students to be bold, excellent, and holy. We are seeking a Theology Teacher who brings strong content knowledge, a student-centered approach, and the genuine disposition to mentor as naturally as they teach. This full-time position, beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, is rooted in our mission to develop servant leaders for a Christ-centered life. Requirements

Hold (or are eligible for) a Roman Catholic Theology degree (preferred)
Background in Cathecesis (preferred)
Are organized, engaging, and relational in your approach to teaching
Value collaboration and professional growth
Are committed to supporting the mission and identity of Catholic Central
Practicing Catholic

Responsibilities

Work as a minister of the Catholic faith and uphold values in word and action
Collaborate with the head Campus Minister and team in implementing the goals of the Campus Ministry program
Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction rooted in Theology
Foster a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, discussion, and active participation
Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen instruction and improve student outcomes
Use a variety of assessment methods to support and measure student growth
Integrate technology to enhance learning experiences
Support students both in and out of the classroom through availability and mentorship
Contribute to the broader school community through involvement beyond the classroom
Participate actively in professional development and school-wide initiatives
