Requirements

  • 3 - 6 months experience as a Theatre Usher in an Entertainment venue
  • Knowledge of the Niagara Region and outlying districts
  • Ability to consistently walk up and down stairs
  • Able to lift up to approx. 25lbs
  • Good manual dexterity and vision
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Exceptional planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to speak multiple languages an asset

Responsibilities

  • Directing and escorting guests to their seats and attending to any special needs they may have
  • Checking and scanning tickets
  • Working within an environment that at times includes restricted lighting and space, strobe lighting, and prolonged exposure to loud music
  • Attending to any special needs a guest may have
  • Assisting with special events in the Grand Hall
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, move equipment and other items as needed
  • Maintaining professionalism under stressful situations
  • Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
  • Working independently as one team that supports and helps one another
  • Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation, predominately afternoon and evening shifts
