About The Position

Theatre Security Lead Hours vary, including evenings, weekends, and event days Keep the venue safe, protect guests and artists, and lead security with confidence. What You'll Do Oversee all security operations at Foellinger Theatre. Serve as the main on-site point of contact for contracted security, law enforcement, and venue leadership. Ensure the safety of patrons, staff, artists, and property through planning, coordination, and real-time leadership. Key Responsibilities Direct security teams and manage access control, crowd flow, and VIP/artist areas Monitor events for safety, respond to incidents, and escalate as needed Coordinate with FOH, technical, and operational teams for smooth guest experiences Execute emergency, weather, and evacuation protocols Complete incident reports and maintain security records Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise contract security staff and seasonal employees What You Bring | Education & Experience High school diploma required; Associate's preferred Experience in event security, law enforcement, military, or crowd management preferred Supervisory experience strongly preferred Calm, professional demeanor under pressure Technical Skills & Knowledge Able to stand/walk for long periods and work outdoors in varying conditions Strong communication and supervisory skills Flexible schedule for nights, weekends, and high-volume events Required Certifications Valid Indiana Driver's License Why Work for the City of Fort Wayne Lead security operations at one of the region's premier outdoor venues, ensuring safe, enjoyable experiences for thousands of patrons, artists, and staff.
