About The Position

The Theatre Program Assistant will assist the Theatre Director with teaching various aspects of theatre to children on differing levels as well as engage with Mission Waco after school programs and the larger community. This is an off-campus employment opportunity requiring reliable transportation. The position involves assisting with theatre classes and lessons, maintaining theatre equipment, working with volunteers, and some cleaning duties. Availability in the afternoons, early evenings, and on Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays is necessary.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• Reliable transportation is important.
• Experience working with children and youth.
• Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
• Strong Work Ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Theatre or education majors.
• Excellent theatre experience (preferably teaching experience).
• Knowledge of basic theatre theory and principles.
• Experience with building sets and props.
