Student Worker- Student Research Assistant
About The Position
The Student Research Assistant works in a student employee capacity in the Anthropology Department, performing or assisting with research and laboratory functions. Duties may include laboratory research, participation in research activities and experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory, documenting research projects, preparing reports, and analyzing data and interpreting results. The role also requires following safety procedures, complying with University policies, maintaining regular and punctual attendance, and performing other duties assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory research and participate in research activities.
- Follow and help ensure compliance with safety procedures and precautions.
- Research equipment maintenance needs and assist with maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Assist with documentation for research projects.
- Assist with or participate in carrying out experiments.
- Assist with managing laboratory inventory or supplies.
- Assist in preparing research reports.
- Assist with analyzing data, testing, and interpreting results.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
- Comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
