About The Position

Student worker that will assist in the department in special projects and jobs as needed. Student worker assists the Theater Manager with front-of-house operations, including pre-show duties, usher supervision, and serving as a primary point of contact for patrons during performances.

Requirements

Liberty University Student
Federal Work Study Eligible
Experience in customer service
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism
Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and performance schedules
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
Ability to understand, speak, and write English to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
Strong organizational skills.
Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally.
Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business.

Responsibilities

Manage front-of-house operations for all academic performances and second-stage events
Supervise and train ushers
Coordinate patron seating, including late seating and accessibility needs
Address patron concerns and provide excellent customer service
Communicate with box office, stage management, and production staff
Enforce theater policies and safety procedures
Assist with house setup, cleanliness, and presentation
