About The Position

Silver Dollar City is seeking an outgoing, guest-focused Theater Usher for its Entertainment Team. The usher helps guests enjoy the park’s entertainment and festivals by welcoming and assisting visitors, maintaining a clean venue, and supporting guest safety. Shows and festivals change during the season, offering varied experiences. The position is seasonal and is scheduled to start now and end January 2, 2027. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to communicate efficiently.
• Able to lift and/or move 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds maximum.
• Able to stand and walk continuously on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete.
• Able to remember locations and understand and carry out instructions continuously.
• Able to work in cramped quarters frequently.
• Able to work at a rapid speed continuously.
• Able to work in extreme weather frequently.
• Must be flexible with availability and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet guests as a host inside and outside the theater.
• Provide customer service by answering questions about the assigned venue and the park generally.
• Help ensure guest safety in and around the venue.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the theater and in backstage areas using brooms, mops, vacuums, and leaf blowers as trained.
• Maintain knowledge of safety standards and emergency procedures, and implement and direct evacuation procedures during emergencies.
• Interact with fellow employees without distracting them while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Communicate with team members via two-way radio as needed.
• Solve problems with minimal supervision and work in a self-motivated, self-directed manner.
• Remain flexible with hours and responsibilities.
