About The Position

Silver Dollar City is casting a skilled drummer to perform in dramatic, comedic, romantic, or musical productions. Musicians must submit an application and audition to be considered. Audition videos should include two songs in the styles the applicant performs best, with a verse and chorus of each song, and should be emailed to [email protected]. Applications and submissions should be sent as soon as possible. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. The position runs from an unspecified start date through January 2, 2027.

The drummer rehearses and performs music as the role requires, learning songs and cues as directed. The performer may wear a costume and apply makeup to portray a character or role. The job takes place in a dynamic performance setting, indoors and outdoors, often before live audiences. It involves collaboration with cast members, production staff, and guests, frequent movement across varied surfaces, exposure to changing weather, and adaptability to performance changes. The role may require working on a moving vessel away from land.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Skilled drummer able to perform a range of styles, including country, pop, rock & roll, and musical theatre.
• Expressive abilities, poise, stage presence, and a feel for music.
• Strong improvisation skills.
• Ability to communicate efficiently.
• Comfort working on a moving vessel away from land.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds maximum.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete.
• Ability to perform choreographed actions frequently.
• Ability to remember locations and understand and carry out instructions frequently.
• Ability to work in extreme weather occasionally.
• Must submit an application and audition, including a video of two songs with a verse and chorus of each.
