About The Position

The Doorman at The Vault serves as the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for an exclusive and immersive speakeasy experience. This role requires professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness while managing the entrance, welcoming guests, and ensuring safety and smooth operations. The Doorman maintains the character and mystique of The Vault, providing a memorable first impression and supporting a high standard of guest service in alignment with Wyndham Grand Rio Mar’s luxury hospitality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Valid Health Certificate (including throat culture results) as required by the Puerto Rico Department of Health.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Casino License issued by the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring all guest interactions, communications, and presentations reflect the exclusivity and high standards of The Vault.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and uphold the exclusive, immersive atmosphere of The Vault.
  • Ability to be observant, attentive and maintain situational awareness and respond quickly to safety, security, or operational concerns.
  • Knowledge of basic security procedures, crowd management, and emergency protocols.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to coordinate with other departments to enhance guest experience.
  • Maintains a polished and professional demeanor at all times, even in fast-paced environments, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to luxury service standards.
  • Exhibits discretion, subtlety, and professionalism, maintaining the speakeasy’s exclusive and immersive atmosphere in all interactions.
  • Has knowledge of luxury service standards such as Forbes Travel Guide or AAA Diamond Rating and incorporates those standards into every guest interaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional hospitality or customer service training preferred.
  • Previous experience in guest service, security, or front-of-house roles in upscale, themed, or nightlife environments preferred.
  • Experience handling VIP or high-profile guests in a professional and discreet manner is a plus.
  • Knowledge of resort operations, luxury service standards, or speakeasy concepts is an advantage.
