About The Position

The Optimist, located in Nashville's Germantown neighborhood, is seeking experienced Servers to provide guests with a unique, coast-side dining experience featuring fresh, sustainably sourced seafood and casual, wood-fired fare. The Server will act as an ambassador for the restaurant, guiding guests through the menu and ensuring a high level of satisfaction by courteously and professionally serving them, anticipating their needs, and proactively addressing any issues. The role emphasizes a culture of respect and care, extending from internal team interactions to guest service.

Requirements

2+ years’ upscale dining experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as an ambassador for The Optimist Nashville.
Guide guests through the menu and their meals.
Provide a one-of-a-kind experience every time.
Serve guests in a courteous and professional manner.
Proactively take cues from guests’ demeanors to gauge their level of satisfaction.
Proactively address any issues that may arise.
