About The Position
The TFC Return to Work Fellowship is a 15-week paid program designed for military veterans transitioning into civilian careers within the live events industry. This fellowship offers structured, hands-on experience, professional development, industry exposure, and networking opportunities with Freeman leaders and professionals. Fellows in Event & Exhibit Services (E&ES) will gain insight into the operational aspects of live events, focusing on how people, equipment, freight, and logistics contribute to customer experiences. The program includes rotational exposure across different business areas to help participants apply their military experience in a civilian operations setting.
Requirements
- Veterans with honorable military service, including Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard; transitioned from military service within the past 5 years or have less than 2 years of corporate experience.
- Strong communicators with demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working across warehouse and show-site environments.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and open to learning new systems, tools, and industry practices.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in operations, supply chain, project management, logistics, or carpentry is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work across office, warehouse, and show-site environments.
- Gain hands-on experience in freight, logistics, equipment, safety, and event operations.
- Support labor and equipment planning, scheduling, and show-site execution.
- Coordinate with customers, The Freeman Company (TFC) teams, and partners to deliver successful events.
- Build operations and freight leadership skills while maintaining safety, quality, and service standards.
