Textile Sales Associate - Valparaiso - FT

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES GROUP•Valparaiso, IN
•$11 - $0•Onsite

About The Position

The Textile Sales Associate receives, sorts, prices, tags, and stocks donated textiles, helping move donations efficiently from the drive-thru to the sales floor and supporting the smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. The position reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. The associate is expected to understand the Goodwill mission, “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life,” and embody the company’s core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do The Right Thing. The role has performance-based production levels measured in pieces per hour (PPH). The training rate is $11 per hour while below 80 PPH, with four weeks to reach that goal and coaching and support available. If the goal is still unmet after eight weeks, termination may be considered when no qualifying open position is available, though transitioning the employee to another position is the primary aim when possible. Reaching 80 PPH raises pay to $15 per hour; levels of 91–110 PPH and 111–130+ PPH pay $16 and $17 per hour, respectively, subject to the stated three-week average requirements. Employees must maintain the applicable production rate to retain higher performer pay levels. Daily PPH recording is mandatory and may affect pay if not completed. Z-racks are counted as 100 pieces per rack. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
